Horseketeers Pony Club is a local chapter of the United States Pony Club. We are located in Central Florida, and have members in Orange, Seminole and Lake counties. We conduct meetings, lessons, clinics and ratings at a variety of locations. We participate in the following USPC activities:
-Eventing
-Show Jumping
-Dressage
-Quiz
-Games
-Polocrosse
-Tetrathalon
Anybody who loves horses and wants to learn more, is welcome to join the Horseketeers Pony Club. The only requirement for joining is the desire to learn, the commitment to attend our meetings, abide by USPC rules, participate in the events and have fun! Horse ownership is not required, although you need to have access to a horse. The term "pony" reflects the age of the member, rather than the size of the mount. Horses and ponies of many different breeds, shapes and sizes participate in all pony club disciplines.
We try to hold two meetings per month.

While preparing for upcoming rallies, we invite guest instructors to give clinics. Other mounted meetings include costumed Halloween parties, trail rides and Easter egg hunts.
Un-mounted meetings are held usually at members homes or barns. We often have guest speakers such as vets and blacksmiths. We also offer other educational and interesting projects. Pony Clubbers learn about feeding and nutrition, conformation, care of tack, and all aspects of Horse Management.
-Parents are encouraged to attend the meetings and to volunteer at events, fund-raisers and rallies.
-There are annual dues which are reasonable.
Pony Clubbers are encouraged to work their way through the 9 stages of the progressive Standards of Proficiency, which test horse management, knowledge and riding ability. Pony Clubbers who attain the B, H-A and A rating levels meet standards of competence that are recognized throughout the world. All members, regardless of age or experience, enter pony club as an Unrated member. Ratings are held throughout the year and prep sessions are held to prepare every member for their upcoming rating.
